VILLAGE EVENTS

February
Ist – Wine Tasting Evening at The Plough

March
12th – Darts Tournament at The Plough to raise funds to improve the under-12s play area at the recreation ground.

19th – Quilt Marathon held in the Community Centre 10–4 to provide the Rosie with cot quilts for premature babies – over 150 made.

May
13/14th – Little Chesterford 1st Open Art Exhibition – proceeds to the Church Fabric Fund.

June
11th – Little Chesterford Village Fete

18th – another Quilt Marathon for the Rosie.

25th – All Saints Church Fete held in the Vicarage garden.

 

 

July
1st – Chesterford’s Got Talent – held in the Community Centre.

September
10th – Flower Show held in the school hall.

24th – Multi-Sports Court Opening held at the recreation ground with barbecue, music and demonstrations.

October
8th – 20th Great Chesterford Steam-Up

15th – Chesterford Food Fair – a Community Centre fundraising event.

November
4th – first of a series of Tea Dances held at the Community Centre.

26th – All Saints Christmas Fair with a visit from Father Christmas and a Clown – held in the Community Centre 12-4.

Winetasting and Quiz – held in the Community Centre.

December
11th – Table-top Sale/Mini-Fete held in Little Chesterford Village Hall in aid of the Meningitis Trust.

23rd February – talk by Tom Doig on Folk Cures and Remedies.

23rd March – talk by Kate McManus on Little Chesterford’s Great Fire, 7th April 1914
